A good question. :D My suggestion:

Start off with the Circle Trilogy---Black, Red, and White. Then do the Paradise Novels---Showdown, Saint, Sinner. There's also the Lost Books, but I've only read one of those and I really wasn't inspired to read the rest.

At any rate, Skin isn't technically connected to the Circle, so you can read it anytime. Although it was absolutely thrilling to see the subtle connections.

All that to say...start with Black. *grin*

I've had these suggested to me before, but my question is, which one should I read first?

Yup. I guess I recover easily from things like this... :)

And as for your question: Dekker's books are serious, scary, creepy, good, mysterious, and...awesome. Thrillers, basically.
